| Breaking News |  | Harrison Gives Buffalo Goose Eggs Monday, June 15th, 1914: Edgar Harrison of Jersey City easily handled the Buffalo Bisons, stopping them on 2 hits and chucking a complete-game 9-0 shutout.
"He really did a job on us," said the Buffalo manager. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and pretty much confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us."
Harrison said, "Everything was working for me. Throwing my breaking stuff over the plate was big."
He finished the game with 4 strikeouts and 2 walks in a solid outing.
This year Harrison has made 11 starts, thrown 84 innings, fanned 33 batters and walked 44. John Kenwood, the Baltimore Orioles 22-year-old center fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for International League Player of the Week honors.
He ripped 12 hits in 29 at-bats, compiling a .414 average with no home runs and 5 RBIs.
This season Kenwood has hit at a .418 clip with 36 RBIs, 1 home runs and 47 runs scored. |  | Bisons Hampson Tames Jersey City Sunday, June 14th, 1914: Elden Hampson of the Buffalo Bisons shut down the Jersey City Skeeters 6-0 on a 3-hitter, holding them scoreless while ringing up 6 strikeouts and allowing 3 walks.
After the game Hampson said, "Guys have been fouling off a lot of pitches lately and I've been getting into too many deep pitch counts, but I'm pleased with the way things went today. I went right after them and stayed ahead in the count."
